As part of the “Energy Transition” module, current discourses and challenges in the context of energy (policy) are examined and discussed. Different forms of energy and their production and supply mechanisms are taken into account. Political and economic interests are analysed and compared with technical feasibility. Various fields of action and approaches to solutions are discussed from an interdisciplinary perspective.
This will provide an overview of the players in the energy industry, regional energy production in Aachen and current research issues.
The final discussion is prepared by asking students questions during the course of the module. To this end, students collect points in the first two months which are discussed in the final event.
